The 2024 WISE Program is open for registration!
Created at Penn State in 1994, the WISE Institute represents an innovative approach to cross-disciplinary interaction among engineers, 人文主义者, 科学家们, and social 科学家们 to promote the participation of women in the science, 技术, 工程, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
The primary mission of the WISE Institute is to encourage the entry and success of women in the STEM fields. The Institute creates an environment furthering gender equity by coordinating our efforts throughout Penn State; creating opportunities for women of diverse backgrounds to thrive in the STEM fields; mentoring individuals; and promoting institutional and cultural change.
15th Annual WISE Camp: Artificial Intelligence (AI) – AI WISE
This program is open to 15 students entering grades 6–9 in the fall.
Students will embark on an exciting journey to unravel the mysteries of 技术,
understand its origins and explore the dynamic world of artificial intelligence (AI). This immersive camp experience is designed for curious minds eager to delve into the fascinating realm of AI and data science.
Students will trace the evolution of 技术 from its humble beginnings to the cutting-edge innovations of today. They will uncover the fundamental principles that underpin AI and gain insights into how mathematics serves as the cornerstone of this transformative field. Through engaging activities and hands-on projects, students will dive into the world of no-code.
