Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education offers a variety of post-baccalaureate courses and other professional-development opportunities designed to meet the continuing education goals of educators. Penn State is an approved provider of Act 48 continuing education, and we deliver courses all year long. Classes run in the evenings and during summer sessions, with both blended and online delivery formats. We provide the most up-to-date educational experience for our area, covering topics such as educational technology integration, classroom management, inclusion and differentiated instruction, special education, and more.

This course, designed by former and current educators, will challenge you to explore different A.I. tools, expand and refresh your curriculum content and classroom practices, and examine ethical and responsible uses of artificial intelligence in your classroom.

The English as a Second Language Certificate (ESL) offers an innovative program for educators who wish to be ESL-certified instructors in Pennsylvania. Upon completion of this accelerated 15-credit (5 course) certificate program, you will have gained 15 credits towards a PDE Instruction Level II certification and satisfied PA Act 48 requirements.
